The Askew Crapper "LOGO" Contest

For the record, I was also a judge, but thanking myself would be rather narcissistic, wouldn't it?

Well, that's that.  Be sure to check out our new contest... what?  Oh!  Right, the winner.  Congratulations are due to our very own Rob McDole for his submission (shown below).  Out of a possible high score of 18, Rob's entry got a whopping 14 and four of the six judges picked his for 1^st place.  And the prize will be awarded once Rob fulfills the duties associated with the honor.

Well, it's time to retire the old logo that sits on top of every single page on this site.  While we're sad to see it go, we're excited about getting a brandy spanking new one.  But we've decided to let you, dear readers, design it.  And to show our appreciation the person who submits the winning design will get a Kevin Smith signed copy of "Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters & Marvels"!  (Click the photo for more details on the DVD)

There are just a few rules:

• No View Askew characters or likenesses.
• No nudity (butt cracks, OK).
• All entries must be submitted by Monday, October 7th at 5:00 PM Eastern time.  No exceptions.
• The logo must come in two forms.  The first as a banner for the top of every page.  The second as a graphic only suitable for the forum, as a link, etc..
• All entries must be in GIF or JPEG format.
• The winner must be willing to provide original format (PhotoShop PSD preferred) for both graphics so we may edit them as needed.
• You may submit more than one design.
• If you already have the DVD, don't have a DVD player or can't play Region 1 DVD's you may choose a prize of equal or lesser value from The Stash.

That's it for the rules.  Judging will be completed and a winner picked on Monday, October 14.

Some tips as to what we're looking for:

• Color!  We LOVE color!  No friggin' rainbows, but I think you get the idea.
• Comics.  If you've noticed the new font of this site and the new color scheme you may have guessed that the site is going to have a bit of a comic book feel to it.
• Consider the content of the site.  Don't send in a picture of an eagle.  It's not appropriate.
