I’m sure
many questions are abounding about what the hell is The Askew Crapper. Well,
if this site is a success just let me all tell you now… it was my idea. If
it all fails, I blame it on Ben Affleck.
The truth of the matter is this is one of those ideas that just pop into
your head in the middle of the day. I believe I was Ski-Tubing when this
idea occurred. I posted the idea on The View Askew WWWBoard. I was thinking
one of two things would happen:
1. No one would reply to the post and
I would be secretly laughed at.
2. People would like the idea, but no
one would write columns.
Kev. Hoffman was the first to jump
aboard. Right away I gave him 50% ownership (a decision I will later regret
when we both poison each others drink for complete control). An email
account was created to receive the 1-2 emails from the twelve year olds who
wanted their own column so they could talk about Fear Factor, at least this
is what I thought would happen. I was wrong! In two days over 50 emails were
received about interest in having a weekly column. Kev & I had the dubious
job of choosing who gets a column and who doesn’t. The others have a chance
at having a guest column (seems like a pretty fair consolation prize to me).
So The Askew Crapper was born. A
website where posters form the View Askew WWWBoard can have their own weekly
column where they can write about whatever they want to, and let me tell
you…We have variety. So check them out.

fact, they are barely aware of it. This statement will hopefully save my ass
along with theirs from being dragged down by this site
Now as the webmaster I have had a
thousand decisions to face. What should the webpage look like? What colors
should I use? Should there be a message board? How about a poll? How many
columns should there be? Well, here is what the website looks like. I hope
you like it, if not…then ignore the looks and just read the columns, that is
what this site is for anyways.
I am sure many of you have a few
sites that you visit everyday. The Askew Crapper isn't trying to replace
that list, just be added to it.
Remember, if all this fails and
becomes a big joke…it was Affleck’s idea. |
